Frequently asked questions

How does Palworld breeding work?

Breeding in Palworld is deterministic. Each Pal has a hidden CombiRank, and two parents produce the child whose CombiRank is closest to floor((A + B + 1) / 2). A small set of special combinations and gender-locked pairs override this formula. Our tools compute every result from the real game data.

What is CombiRank?

CombiRank is a Pal's hidden breeding-power value, roughly 1 to 1500. The breeding formula averages the two parents' CombiRanks to decide which Pal hatches, so it's the number that drives every combination.

How do I find the parents of a specific Pal?

Open the Breeding Calculator and use Find parents, or find the Pal in the database and click 'As child'. You'll see every parent pair that breeds it. To plan a full path down to Pals you already own, use the Breeding Tree.

How do special breeding combinations work?

About 28 hardcoded special combinations (for example Relaxaurus + Sparkit produces Relaxaurus Lux) and a few gender-locked pairs take priority over the CombiRank formula. Unique Pals can only be produced by their special combination, so our data excludes them from formula results.

Is the data updated for Palworld 1.0?

Yes. PalToolsHub is fully updated for the Palworld 1.0 release, with all 288 Pals and their breeding combinations generated directly from the 1.0 game files — including the new 1.0 Pals and special combinations. Check the 'Updated' date on the home page and the changelog for the latest refresh.

Where can I catch a specific Pal in Palworld?

Open the Map and pick any Pal to light up every place it spawns — with level ranges, day or night, and field & dungeon bosses. The map covers both Palpagos Islands and the World Tree, so even Tree-only Pals like Bastigor show their real spawn spots. Every Pal page also has a 'Where to catch' mini-map. Locations come straight from the Palworld 1.0 game files.

Is PalToolsHub free?

Yes. The breeding calculator, breeding tree, map and Pal database are completely free to use, with no sign-up required.
